Last week’s menu went right out the window from day 1, though we did manage to have “real” meals a few times.  This week I have not shopped for food (except snacks) and don’t plan to.  So this is based solely off of what I can see in the pantry from here.

Monday: There is cooked chicken begging to be used up in the fridge so: bbq chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries
reality: started too late for the fries; had mac&cheese

Tuesday: These have been sitting in the freezer long enough: braised lamb shanks, potatoes
reality: lamb, brown rice, broccoli

Wednesday: Kids’ church night so adults are on their own
reality: mom bought dinner at the diner

Thursday: I forgot these were in the freezer: chicken kiev, asparagus
reality: as written

Friday: A new recipe: Pong Pong Pork, brown rice
reality: wasn’t feeling well, Chris made spaghetti

Saturday: Town’s Scarecrow Festival, so we’ll either be on our own or eat downtown
reality: frozen pizza I forgot I had, after the festival

Sunday: To make up for several things that won’t be popular with the under 14 set: popcorn chicken, tots or fries
